Utilizing AI to streamline tedious and repetitive marketing tasks
A quick turnaround product design project, with the declared goal to create a ‘best-in-industry’ suite of generative AI tools that is custom-built for the workflows and activities of the Visa marketing team. A high-level product vision and 6 use cases were provided to our AKQA team, covering frequent and high-effort tasks. All the tools needed to be highly scalable for future use cases, and of course, also a bit fun!

Connecting complex processes in an intelligent dashboard
After the brief and more info on the typical marketing campaign workflows and processes were received, the team went to work. After offering up platform architectures from simple landing page to highly personalized dashboard experience, the decision for the latter was made. We designed a dashboard as the central personalized entry point.
After initial onboarding, it would recognize the team member’s active campaigns, preferred tools, provide smart actions and bring all their workflows together seamlessly in one cohesive system. Our approach to the Amigo Dashboard allows users to work efficiently by jumping either directly into a creation tool, or working within the campaign workflow.

6 tools for more efficiency and creativity
To start off this new platform, we designed 6 tools that would seamlessly fit into the marketer’s workflows: Content Creation for publish-ready copy at scale. Briefing Tool for faster time-to-brief. Image & Video Creation for greater content velocity. Insights & Strategy for sharper market clarity. Sales Collateral for stronger sales enablement, and RFP Intelligence for higher pitch win rates. By embedding intelligence into everyday processes (like the campaign workflow below) we amplify efficiency and creativity without asking users to change the way they work.

A generative content tool that empowers marketers to create high-quality, on-brand visuals directly within Amigo. It reduces dependence on external design tools or stock libraries, enabling faster iteration, tighter brand control, and greater creativity at scale. What makes this tool stand apart from the rest is it’s ease of use, LM flexibility and scalability, user guidance for prompting, brand style adherence and in-tool conversation based editing.

A smart proposal assistant that turns the manual RFP process into an intelligent, data-led advantage. What makes this tool unique is that it can thoroughly analyze the RFP brief and then draw on Visa’s historical responses, client insights, and market research, recommend tailored ideas and language, and ensure submissions are strategic, compliant, and competitively positioned.

Recap and outlook
Based on Visa’s VP of Marketing’s bold initial vision, our team executed and landed on this robust and cohesive platform that was very well received by both teams. But this was just the start, after initial development and internal interest- and trust-building for the solution, a future roadmap outlined the next phases: Finalize UX & Design for the platform, qualitative user testing
& refinement, comprehensive design system, launch communication & onboarding content, training tool & user guide, and more.
